Deputy Sheriff Steven Gonzales to receive Sheriff’s Lifesaving Award. Gonzales was a responding officer during the Isla Vista mass shooting. He was part of the team that entered Elliot’s apartment to check the welfare of his roommates, who were unfortunately deceased.
